Tour Itinerary
Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Tour
Just outside the city limits stands a reminder of the darkest days of Berlin’s history: Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. Built in 1936 by slave laborers, Sachsenhausen became the model that all other camps followed. It was a school of brutality, training guards for positions in other camps. By the end of WWII, over 50,000 people had died there.
Sachsenhausen’s tragic history continued from 1945 to 1950 when the new Communist occupiers secretly followed the Nazi’s footsteps and used the camp to detain political enemies. Thousands more perished during this period.
Visiting the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp is one of the most important things you could do on your visit to Berlin. During our six hour tour, we tell the story of Sachsenhausen’s infamous history with the sensitivity needed to examine how something as horrible as the Holocaust could have happened.
The tour runs in all weather and never cancel!
"My wife, Margo, and I have just returned from a short trip to Berlin. We took your tour to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, and we were totally amazed to what depths humanity can sink to. Our guide for the day was Jesse and his attention to detail was absolutely fantastic, he managed to bring just the right tone to the whole day. I am sure that he must have been exhausted at the end. We would not hesitate to recommend your tours to anyone."
Margo & John Mackay – Lancaster, UK
"My friend and I went on the concentration camp tour... I just wanted to reiterate how appreciative we both were of the dedication and professionalism put forth during the tour. You demonstrated an extensive knowledge of the subject, and seemed to really care about answering all questions in a thoughtful manner, emphasizing the importance of the topic. I would have paid a far greater fee for a service that was so undeniably impactful and moving. Your obvious motivation is to educate as many people as possible, both young and old, which is extremely admirable. I would recommend your tours to anyone visiting or even living in Berlin."
Katie – Massachusetts, USA
